Sebastián has pursued international fellowships in Germany and Brazil and has been active in global youth and alumni networks, including the IPS Alumni Network, Baden-Württemberg-Stipendium, and PASCH (Goethe-Institut). He is also co-founder of Laboratorio Social Reto 9, a civic initiative promoting peacebuilding, environmental protection and youth political participation in Medellín. The idea is to integrate climate justice with human rights and intergenerational equity, ensuring that the voices of children and youth are central in shaping sustainable futures.
